The odd ship texture and bump map were made in Draw/PP. The main reason this image is here is because I made the flames later in in PP by painting them in. It's an oldie...

maybe an oldie but a goodie! Love the lighting. Is that a lil skull in the texture on the back of the right wing? Sort of looks like it.
Great job.

holy moly, never thought this pic would elicit such a response. :-)

No skull on the wing... Fluid, it appears you are STILL obsessed with the spectre of death. Therapy must continue. :-)

Stephan: thanks for the many nice words, and the enthusiasm.

Ken: Boston, eh? Check out this snippet of one of my cheezy tunes that has a Boston-esque solo. 613k. I've always liked that harmony guitar sound.

Usually I "shred" like crazy, but still lots of harmony licks... Here's a sample of that. This next pounding tune I made got to #2 on mp3.com (in the power metal genre). 3.28 meg

Thanks Mr. Bill!

More music stuff for those following along...

Here is a tune I made on a April 2006 Sat. afternoon to try out a used variax guitar I'd borrowed.

Another guitarist was pointing out my wild vibrato, so I thought I'd
really demonstrate it on this recording. It takes a fair bit of skill to
control it consistently, including on already bent strings. It's been a
part of my style for many years. The guitar used for the recording has a
shorter scale and heavier strings than I'm used to, so I had to adjust a
bit to the new feel.

another tune I made before, to quickly try out some other sounds on this guitar like the sitar and banjo;

Tech info;

recorded with Variax into Cubase SX 1.

used an acoustic patch and a Les Paul setting on the Variax

distortion is free Marshall JCM900 plugin

Drums are Hyper Canvas VSTi, programmed from Roland keyboard

bass is the same Variax acoustic patch, made to sound like a bass with
Chopitch VST plugin

No effects used in SX other than some reverb.
